Schemes

Peninsula Transport has already put forward a number of road and rail schemes in response to Government funding opportunities.

It is involved with three major types of road schemes. These are:

• Major Road Network schemes (MRN)
• Large Local Major schemes (LLM)
• National Highways’ pipeline of schemes as part of its Road Investment Strategy (RIS)

The rail sub-group, Peninsula Rail Task Force, has been working towards a rail network that is fit for purpose since its formation in 2013. A number of organisations are undertaking areas of work that are helping to improve the South West rail network. Learn more about:
